144 – Hiding
This is totally hidden in what is essentially high, dry desert. We’re walking through this mountaintop town, Jerome AZ, when we hear rushing water…we follow the sound to a spot at the bottom of the town, where a tiny river is flowing. It’s apparently the town’s drainage…to accommodate the rainy/snowy seasons at higher elevations and keep from washing the town, which is precariously perched on steep hillsides, away, they run the water down the mountain and UNDER most of the town. It finally surfaces from here, this lush green oasis full of English ivy that is totally out of place. And yeah, I Topaz’d it a little…but very little.

How extraordinary to find this, glad you took the time to follow the sound.

Nice shot.
It must be nice to find something like this in a dry environment.
